Candidate for Wilton Town Board
During high school and college, she worked for several political campaigns. She always felt that being involved politically is important because it is the responsibility of a citizen to get involved, stay informed, and exercise the rights we are so fortunate to have.
She volunteered for Republican Chris Smith’s re-election campaign for New Jersey’s 4th congressional district. After supporting the successful elections of Republican Jack Rafferty to mayor to mayor of her hometown, Hamilton, NJ and then NJ State Assembly, she interned in his Assembly office. Additionally, she worked for Democrat Jeffrey Laurenti’s bid for a congressional seat after meeting him when serving as a State Assembly intern. More recently she campaigned for Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner.
Leadership and Management Experience
Paula has led several successful business efforts during her more than 20 years of marketing experience. These included managing multi-million dollar budgets requiring crucial strategic planning and thorough tactical execution were required for success as a healthcare marketing executive.
She has brought this knowledge to college classrooms, teaching courses at Skidmore College and developing and instructing the online healthcare marketing course for Excelsior College.
Volunteer and Public Service
Paula has served on non-profit boards for chapters of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF) and the Arthritis Foundation. She currently sits on the board for the Shelters of Saratoga. Most recently she had full oversight of the first-ever Registry Week to develop a by-name list of the homeless population in order to identify service gaps and better coordinate continuum of care to end homelessness in Wilton and Saratoga Springs.
In 2000, she earned an MBA from Yale University School of Management with a focus on strategy and marketing.
As an undergraduate at Rutgers University she studied political science and completed the honors program at the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
Paula has a 10-year old son who will be entering the 5th grade at Dorothy Nolan Elementary School. They take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities at Wilton Recreation including the Jr. NBA and the summer camp as well as the Saratoga-Wilton Rec Soccer program at Gavin Park.
When all is quiet, you will find her in one of her flower gardens or in the vegetable garden.
