Nancy Dwyer

Candidate for Wilton Town Supervisor

About the Candidate

From a Saratogian article published May 9, 2017: “Dwyer, 53, who has degrees in economics and math education, is an associate broker for Cambridge-based Devine Properties and has previously worked for other realty firms in the Saratoga Springs market.

“It’s time for a change,” Dwyer said. “If you want to make changes you need to get involved. I just felt like if there was ever a time, it’s now.” Although accepting the Democratic endorsement, Dwyer is not enrolled in any party. “I don’t want to be beholden to any party, person or special interest,” she said.

Dwyer moved to Wilton with her family in 1973, graduated from Saratoga Springs High School and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at SUNY Albany. After seven years in Central New York she moved back to Wilton to raise her children, Maxwell and Madison, who graduated from South Glens Falls High School.

Dwyer previously taught math for nine years at Ballston Spa High School, and was involved with the teachers union as a representative and treasurer. In 2006, she returned to real estate, which she first got involved with in Albany in 1985. Before Devine Properties, Dwyer previously worked for Keller-Williams Realty.

Among her many community activities, she is vice president of Friends of Moreau Lake State Park.
